Shipping (Plus Important Note for International Shipments)

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS***

International shipments shipped by USPS International sometimes get "stuck" along the delivery route, and the tracking information does not update. Once this happens, it is nearly impossible to obtain delivery updates or to know where exactly the package is. 

Sometimes the postal system returns the inserts to Pointelles. In this case, the customer is notified, and the cost of the inserts only is refunded. 

I acknowledge that shipping internationally for a small item such as a shoe insert is very expensive--and usually costs more than the order itself.

Pointelles is run by me, Christine, and I have no staff or business partners. I also have a "regular" job, and Pointelles has yet to make a profit. I do all this because the inserts solve a small, but real problem--and it makes women happy when their favorite pointed-toe shoes look pretty again. And that is very cool.

This is why I cannot be refund international shipping charges.

How are shipping rates determined?

Rates are determined by three factors:

1. The weight of your order. 

Pointelles inserts are very light weight, as is the packaging, so we don't want you to pay more than is necessary to ship your item; that is, we don't charge by the price of your purchases. 

2. The distance from California, USA, to your shipping address.

3. The postal or shipping carrier that you choose. 

Note: If you choose regular USPS postage, there will be  no tracking information generated. (It's like sending something with postage stamps.)

 How fast will my order ship?

Orders will be processed for shipment within 48 hours of order placement.

Orders placed on Friday after 5 pm PST will be processed for shipping on Saturday and/or Sunday and will go out for shipping on Monday (unless Monday is a federal holiday).

When will I know when my order will arrive?

Except for regular USPS, you will receive an e-mail with your shipping tracking information and tracking number, which will allow you to track your package.

International Orders

There may be taxes, duties and/or VAT costs applied by customs towards your order before the delivery of your package. These charges are not inclusive of the original shipping amount and will not be paid for or reimbursed by Pointelles. If you refuse the order, you will not be refunded by Pointelles.

Undeliverable Packages

If your package is marked as undeliverable or return to sender, a reshipping fee will be required.

Incorrect Addresses

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address and are encouraged to check them prior to submitting an order. Once a package has been shipped, it cannot be redirected. Pointelles is not responsible for, nor able to refund or replace, orders shipped to an incorrect address.

Returned/Refused Orders

If you would like to cancel an order that has been refused or returned to us, the original shipping cost will be deducted from your refund amount.

Lost Packages/Insurance

Priority shipping is the only option we offer in the US that includes insurance. If you forgo choosing Priority Mail, Pointelles is not responsible for replacing, refunding, or tracking your lost package.
